Whenever I go back to Ipoh, all I do is eat.
NON-STOP!
As planned, we left KL by 0700 and reached Ipoh to have breakfast with Aunt Kumg. She brought us for a splendid meal of wantan mee. Yums! Then it's off to Kuala Kangsar to visit my granduncle who has just recently discharged from the hospital. This is the main reason for the trip.
As soon as we reached, we got to play with one of my uncle's newborn! SOOOO CUTE! She's only 5 months old. It has been x years since I get to play with babies that young. Unlike other babies I see, she actually isn't afraid of strangers and smiles a lot! LOVES~ Also, my granduncle has got a new puppy. HAHA. Cuteness overload!
"Durian is here."
Durian addicts we are went straight away to get newspapers and the butcher knife and help ourselves. LOL. Then it's lunch. Then it's laksa Kuala Kangsar, the only laksa I eat. Man, I was full like mad. But everything still looks so good!
We returned to Ipoh by the evening where I make a quick visit to my Aunt Rachel. HAH! I'm slowly getting to know Ipoh roads. I thought I'd only get to see Nicholas. Apparently the sisters are back too! <3
By this time, I can still feel the durian in me.
Dinner at Wooley which serves all kinds of unconventional food. We had mantis prawn, lala, oysters, cuttlefish with kangkung in awesome sauce, chicken, grill fish, rojak, chee cheong fun, popiah and chicken wings. Then it's supper with everyone! I had tiramisu. Boleh la. There's this huge food complex full of restaurants and a pub! It's so nice. It's only beside Jusco, so if you have the chance, drop by. They even have Daorae there. Other than food stores, they have these really nicely decorated boutiques that just urges you to go in and buy something no matter what. Things in Ipoh are expectantly cheap which makes shopping less guilty =D
The next morning, breakfast consists of popiah, chicken hor fun, satay and chee cheong fun.
Mannnn~ I ate like a pig. It's good that I only make short trips; I can't stay in Ipoh too long because I'll be eating all the while. But it's so heavenly! How can you resist! And since I turned into a hungry ghost at the sight of the food, I forgot all about pictures. By the time I remember, I'm almost done with it. Hahaa.
Audi has yet to bring me eat the rm10.90 western cuisine and this trip, I missed the chicken feet. There, another reason to go back. LOL. If it's not because I have an appointment with ex-boss today, I would have stayed in Kuala Kangsar with Shan Jie Jie.
These fat-ness need to go somewhere!
