5th November

Remember, remember, the 5th of November.

As you can guess, I watch V for Vendetta again.
I can never get tired of it. I love every aspect of the movie. Not to mention my overflowing love for masks.

Realistically possible, I find this movie's theme parallel to the recent outcry in my own country, what with the banned upcoming rally. There is one particular line in the movie that I couldn't agree more:

The people should not be afraid of the government; the government should be afraid of the people.

True enough, this is what democracy means. I understand the need for V to blow up the Parliament. A symbol is nothing until the people give meaning to it. If the meaning is no longer present, why should we need that building anymore? What difference does it make?

None.

Speaking of democracy, I helped a colleague to draw up an idea on how to educate children on democracy. Apparently it's for an orphanage. I thought of some games and activities as children tend to catch and remember more with practical works. Well, we'll see how it goes.

Geez! What should I wear tomorrow??
It's a big day.
Actually my bigger concern is my shoes.

And I can foreseen my morning with loads of pacing up and down, staring at the skyline, listening to music, read every single news online (ever since I got this job, I've been an avid reader of the news LOL) and hoping that the boss will not give me any last minute work.

GAH! DAI KIRAI!!

OYASUMI!
