Asleep ; Lecture

I fell asleep on the couch!

The late nights had it's toll on me.
Woo. Biological clock need to be reset.

Evidence today is soooooo boring! I felt so sleepy but I managed to stay awake. You guessed it, I didn't pay much attention; on off. I was dreaming all the time. It's wasting my time I know but not attending class will just make me feel worse.

My car's tyre got punctured. Again!! DOUBLE this time. One of it is this really long nail, about two to three inches long. I don't know where or how do my Mom and I keep picking up nails this way. I kind off think it's my neighbour who did it. Or where we park our car at the temple because constructions are undergoing there.
I checked it again after class when the mechanic- for some bizarre luck the mechanics I dealt with today are all large-eyes a.k.a. good looking =D -told me that the whole tyre is unusable anymore because there's this internal crack. Swapped my spare tyre over temporarily.

Recently my Mom had been giving me the relationship lecture. It was A-W-K-W-A-R-D but I'm still glad that she does. I guess that's where I always rely on; her advices. It's undeniable that she has far more experiences than I do and I would be stupid to not listen to her at all. I am also not saying that I should follow what she said a hundred percent, only merely taking her thoughts into consideration in each and every step that I take because there's a reason why she even bother to mention it.

Reading time ♥

Need

The Emperor has just triggered the need for me to get the liquid eyeliner to perfect his look.

If this look can't kill, I don't know what will.

Liquid eyeliner!!!!
And eyeshadowS. The plural form of them.

I Won't Say

This morning (afternoon), I woke up with this song in my head.

I Won't Say I'm In Love by Susan Egan.

If there's a prize for rotten judgement
I guess I've already won that
No man is worth the aggravation
That's ancient history; been there, done that

Who'd'ya think you're kiddin'
He's the Earth and heaven to you
Try to keep it hidden
Honey, we can see right through you
Girl, ya can't conceal it
We know how ya feel and
Who you're thinkin of

No chance, no way
I won't say it, no, no

You swoon, you sigh
Why deny it, uh-oh

It's too cliche
I won't say I'm in love

I thought my heart had learned its lesson
It feels so good when you start out
My head is screaming "Get a grip, girl!"
Unless you're dying to cry your heart out

You keep on denying
Who you are and how you're feeling
Baby, we're not buying
Hon, we saw ya hit the ceiling
Face it like a grown-up
When ya gonna own up
That ya got, got, got it bad

No chance, no way
I won't say it, no, no.

Give up, give in
Check the grin you're in love

This scene won't play
I won't say I'm in love

You're doin flips, read our lips
You're in love

You're way off base
I won't say it
Get of my case
I won't say it

Girl, don't be proud
It's okay, you're in love

Ah
At least out loud
I won't say I'm in love

Until you do.

Inception

FINALLY.

Contrary to popular belief, it's not confusing. It's just deep =P
Really deep. Haha.
It's not difficult to understand at all. As long as you concentrated on second one you started the movie, you have no problem finishing it without not getting a point at all. It won't involve any brain ticking parts =D
The plot, the concept, bravo!

I love Arthur played by Joseph Gordon-Levitt. They totally picked the suitable actor for the role. I really liked the character and now, the actor himself though he's too thin on the scale. Haha.
And there's Cillian Murphy, one of those actors I like to see.

After the movie, I was in awed and marvelled by its excellency.
If I watched in HD or 3D or something, I would probably die in awe.

Inception FTW!

A Night In The Italian Underground

Let's go behind the scenes first!

We've actually started planning even before our first year final exam. We've went hotel visiting, theme brainstorming (not much actually XD) and gathering committee members.

Right after the exams we went and confirm the date and hotel. We went through multiple delays, rejections, deliberations and waitings. Finally we settled on a date in December. Then switched it to a closer date on 21st November.

Things were rolling well, at first. We understood how we do not want to repeat an event, so an interesting idea came into light. I forgot who, gave the idea of playing a story throughout the night to bring the attendees in, instead of them being bored and just take pictures.
The story-writing part is fun as we put in a lot of suspense and thinking elements. The story turned into a game in which audience have to guess who is the murderer in the story.
That's our selling point.

We have nine committee members at first, before being joined by another two. We helped each other in everything, be it decoration to audition to sponsors. We went through hell with each other too and the whole committee almost break apart. But in the end I'm glad everyone is able to put aside their personal feelings and arguments or opinions and continue doing it.
It's one very very appreciated effort.

We held auditions twice and selected comparably less performance than last year but definitely insisted on variety. We changed the King and Queen system, adding new elements to it so audience actually get a chance to get to know the nominees before blindly voting for someone they don't know but merely because they think the nominees are pretty.

Our tickets came in quite late, which sparks the stress in everyone in the committee to sell because we have less time to sell than expected. It was the height of planning, where you have everything done and set and just the people to respond to you.
This year we catered for 500 people, which is the most ever catered. It is not an easy number to achieve, I realised. The students are not sporting enough and I don't blame them as their reasons are rather valid.

Somehow, we managed to pull it off =D

We the committees danced an opening performance for the night. Video is with Raymond Tan Kiang Wee and he still hasn't upload it yet =P

Practices in college classrooms during holidays and after classes.

I know I look like I'm scolding everyone but I am not loh! LOL.

Final dance practice; full costume.

Coupled with a lot of camwhoring. Haha!

Say hello to the Jerks!

The morning of Sunday everyone is up and around. I can't sleep well the previous night because I kept recalling things fearing that I forget something or whatnot.
I reached the hotel sharp 1100 and started working with everyone for the night.

The hall by 1900 @ The Renaissance.
Love the deco? I do ♥

We did delay a little, but everything went smoothly albeit not as ideal. There're little errors here and there, inevitable and undo-able. So what I can say now is that it's over =D

Before you went commenting on me, I would like to make a declaration:

I HATE MY MAKEUP! Okay, I didn't do it myself and I really hate it. I went to Sg. Wang with some of the girls to have my hair and makeup done. The makeup part is free because I got a few vouchers a while back. By the time I had the chance to look at myself in the mirror I've already look like, I don't know who.

I swear I will NEVER let anyone makeup for me until the day I have to take photographs for my wedding album and on the day I get married. Even that has to go through a few experiments!

Argh.

But again, as I said, it's over. No point yelling and screaming.

I know there's no point yelling and screaming but I can't help it!! ARGH!

HsuAnn, MeiQuin and I.

Yannie, SiewYee and I.

Don't we look nice? ♥ You girls are awesome =)

There goes Land Law lecturer! She's the bomb!

Ray loves this picture. Haha!

But I love this better.

Presenting: BAC's Prom Planning Committee.

We left early, about 0000. Hit MidValley in disappointment because Zouk was closed! Even G6 Club. After many deliberations, we brought our after party to The Elixir.

I didn't really enjoy myself throughout the night because I was up and running around, barely had any food; potato and rice, that's ALL I had.
Talking about food, I heard loads of complain that the food sucked. Ah.

Pictures credits to many people. Many are still not uploaded yet. And I took less pictures than last year I think, so don't expect so much.

There goes A Night In The Italian Underground.

Teaser II

A Night In The Italian Underground.

Coming soon.

Allan ♥ Veronica

Let's go to Singapore!

Getting ready!

Drove the way down to Johor Bahru. I got my first hit on the highway and it feels so nice =D
I stepped foot into Singapore after almost ten years and nothing is familiar.
The road signs looked so odd to me. New new.
We settled into my aunts house that night.

The next day, we went to the Intercontinental Hotel where my another aunt is staying and where the luncheon is going to be held.

♥ Shi Ian
That picture made me look fatter than I am! Ish!
We walked around Bugis and the famed Orchard Road.
It is endless.
The shopping malls literally connect to each other and the next thing you know you're not in the same mall and you can't find your way back. But we have Veron, the bride-to-be to bring us around.
Then it's the Science Centre! For the kids.
That night, we had dinner with everyone else who arrived.
Final preparations!

Day 14th November.

It is as early as 0300 that my cousin has to wake up. So did everyone.
Make-up, dressing up and waiting for the groom to come =)
Apparently according to TeoChew tradition, the bride has to go to the groom's to pay respect first before the bride's side.
They left the house at about 0700.

Then it's time for us to get ready for their comeback!
Shower, dress-up, make up!
And loads of photography skills involved too =P
The aunts all took turn to do make up and hair. We slot ourselves in at intervals. LOL.
Yeah, I kinda regretted that the make up not so pro artist put a purple hue on my face. Lucky it didn't appear in photos!

How do you like the parade of Audi cars? I very like =D

Giving angpows to their juniors, which translates to us cousins! Heeee.
I was the second to receive the angpow. I called him my brother in law.
Mix of feelings: new, weird, happy.
Now I have a new family member; more love to give out, more love to take in =)

Luncheon!
Sorry for the late introduction; here's lovely bride Veronica and groom Allan =)
Introducing, Intercontinental Singapore.

People were filling the corridors, taking pictures and waiting to be seated.
We? Take pictures lah! How often do we get this kind of chance??

The flower girl, JoLynn ♥

♥ Flower boy and girl.

I promise you, their popularity is not to be underestimated! Highly demanded for photographs! Hahaha!
The aisle.

Samuel and JoLynn did such a great job!! They were fantastic!
But of course, not forgetting the stars of the day.

Dine!
They spell MISCHIEVOUS lah!

Round II.
Love this one! When they pop the champagne =D

Here goes the endless photography session where we're all family obsessed. People were literally staring and gaping at our numbers. I am proud.

Yik Xime (the real spelling, apparently =.=) and Handsome!!

And this is not the COMPLETE one =P

Congratulations, Veron! Love you lots ♥

The next few days are Sentosa and Marina Bay Sands.

I got into this Casino, but not Sand's. Aih.

It was a fun experience altogether!

I got myself a souvenir from a shop called Candylicious in Sentosa. Anyone been there? It's a really really really nice shop!! Unfortunately photographs are not allowed.
