Let's go behind the scenes first!
We've actually started planning even before our first year final exam. We've went hotel visiting, theme brainstorming (not much actually XD) and gathering committee members.
Right after the exams we went and confirm the date and hotel. We went through multiple delays, rejections, deliberations and waitings. Finally we settled on a date in December. Then switched it to a closer date on 21st November.
Things were rolling well, at first. We understood how we do not want to repeat an event, so an interesting idea came into light. I forgot who, gave the idea of playing a story throughout the night to bring the attendees in, instead of them being bored and just take pictures.
The story-writing part is fun as we put in a lot of suspense and thinking elements. The story turned into a game in which audience have to guess who is the murderer in the story.
That's our selling point.
We have nine committee members at first, before being joined by another two. We helped each other in everything, be it decoration to audition to sponsors. We went through hell with each other too and the whole committee almost break apart. But in the end I'm glad everyone is able to put aside their personal feelings and arguments or opinions and continue doing it.
It's one very very appreciated effort.
We held auditions twice and selected comparably less performance than last year but definitely insisted on variety. We changed the King and Queen system, adding new elements to it so audience actually get a chance to get to know the nominees before blindly voting for someone they don't know but merely because they think the nominees are pretty.
Our tickets came in quite late, which sparks the stress in everyone in the committee to sell because we have less time to sell than expected. It was the height of planning, where you have everything done and set and just the people to respond to you.
This year we catered for 500 people, which is the most ever catered. It is not an easy number to achieve, I realised. The students are not sporting enough and I don't blame them as their reasons are rather valid.
Somehow, we managed to pull it off =D
We the committees danced an opening performance for the night. Video is with
Raymond Tan Kiang Wee and he still
hasn't upload it yet =P
Practices in college classrooms during holidays and after classes.

I know I look like I'm scolding everyone but I am not loh! LOL.

Final dance practice; full costume.

Coupled with a lot of camwhoring. Haha!

Say hello to the Jerks!

The morning of Sunday everyone is up and around. I can't sleep well the previous night because I kept recalling things fearing that I forget something or whatnot.
I reached the hotel sharp 1100 and started working with everyone for the night.
The hall by 1900 @ The Renaissance.
We did delay a little, but everything went smoothly albeit not as ideal. There're little errors here and there, inevitable and undo-able. So what I can say now is that it's over =D
Before you went commenting on me, I would like to make a declaration:
I HATE MY MAKEUP! Okay, I didn't do it myself and I really hate it. I went to Sg. Wang with some of the girls to have my hair and makeup done. The makeup part is free because I got a few vouchers a while back. By the time I had the chance to look at myself in the mirror I've already look like, I don't know who.
I swear I will NEVER let anyone makeup for me until the day I have to take photographs for my wedding album and on the day I get married. Even that has to go through a few experiments!
Argh.
But again, as I said, it's over. No point yelling and screaming.
I know there's no point yelling and screaming but I can't help it!! ARGH!

Don't we look nice? ♥ You girls are awesome =)

There goes Land Law lecturer! She's the bomb!

Ray loves this picture. Haha!

But I love this better.

Presenting: BAC's Prom Planning Committee.

We left early, about 0000. Hit MidValley in disappointment because Zouk was closed! Even G6 Club. After many deliberations, we brought our after party to The Elixir.

I didn't really enjoy myself throughout the night because I was up and running around, barely had any food; potato and rice, that's ALL I had.
Talking about food, I heard loads of complain that the food sucked. Ah.
Pictures credits to many people. Many are still not uploaded yet. And I took less pictures than last year I think, so don't expect so much.
There goes A Night In The Italian Underground.
