Babysitting In Sabah

I was away for the past week to babysit my two not-so-little-cousins-but-still-need-driver-to-school.

So, I was in Sabah.
Ahh~ You who knew me would know how much I love Sabah.
I flew there on the 1st September, after a night of fun barbecue party.
Which also results in last minute packing =D

But that's besides the point; Sabah is waiting for me even if I didn't bring enough pants.

I met Audrey at KLIA about 1200 had for lunch.
The flight is at 1400. So we ended up sitting at the observation wing, enjoying the view of planes landing and taking off.

Before we had to off our phone.

I've concluded that I dislike taking flights.
I hate the pressure on my head when the plane takes off.

We reached Kota Kinabalu around 1700.
We were soooo happy to see ShiIan and JoLynn! They were really happy too!
They even asked their dad, our Uncle Soon to buy two durian puffs for us, which is SO TASTY!
Kya~ I love them like there's no tomorrow!!
Uncle Soon immediately gave Audrey the car keys and me the house keys. LOL.
Lepak-ed around before we go for dinner.

Including piano concert!

Homework-doing.
And picture taking =D

Dinner is SEAFOOD ♥ at Welcome Seafood, somewhere in Damai or Lintas I think, couldn't recall XD

Ah~ The seafood is soooo fresh! And cheap.
You can't find good seafood like this in Peninsular.
And no, no pictures on seafood; we sumbat all before I remember to take pictures.
MUAHAHAHAHA!

The next morning, we followed Uncle Soon to send the kids to school.
0700 in Sabah is like 0900 in Peninsular.
Had breakfast with Uncle Soon before Uncle Soon went off to work.
He also showed us the town and where we can go lepaks!
The last time we came, it was mainly tourist attractions.
So this time, it's time to experience LIFE in Sabah.

Audrey and I stayed at home. It feels like 1000 when it's barely 0900.
I on Skype to see no one online only to find out it is still soooo early =.=

Until the aunts start going online, we watched a selected episode of Journey to The West =D

Picked up the kids and went for lunch nearby; chicken rice.
We have plans to go Suria Sabah, a new mall in town.
So ShiIan took his homework out to do while lunch, with his cute sharpener. LOL!!
In the end he had so much homework that we didn't make it to Suria Sabah.
But we walked to Tanjung Aru for sunset!

Looking for crab.
♥ Love this shot! If only she is wearing a long dress!

And this

Dinner at a bungalow nearby which serves Korean food!
It was bliss

Got home, and concert began!
The next day, Uncle Soon went out station.
So we got up early to send the kids to school.

We went home and fell asleep watching Tom & Jerry.

Picked up JoLynn from school and went to Avena Cake House for the durian puff!
We went to Warisan Square to have lunch and walked around.
Near 1540, we left to pick ShiIan up.
After much talking and playing and things of the sort, Uncle Soon is back for dunner.

Dinner at Nagasaki. Never had better Japanese food than this
This girl ahh~

Uncle Soon insisted we go supper STRAIGHTAWAY.
Our stomachs are sooo full~

This is the place.
The cham si is supaa nice!!
This is heaven. We've now developed a special stomach for Fuh Yuen no matter how full we are =D

Back home, we examined JoLynn's collection of plushies.

Proud owner.
On Saturday, the kids have violin classes.

Before that, we went for lunch together. OMG, delicious fish skin
While waiting for JoLynn's turn.

We went to OneBorneo and shopped after the kids finished their violin class.

Dinner is superb again! It's delicious yam rice plus lou tun!!
Fact: Lou Tun aka Giant Grouper is a super huge fish whose meat is so ngan and soh. It's super expensive as well, pricing at RM120 per ONE kg.

The next day, AuntTong came home. So we went and pick her up at KKIA around late noon and went for NO.10 BREAD. It was good, but Audrey and I still prefer Fuh Yuen =D
Before that, breakfast with Uncle Soon at Foo Ping dimsum.

After bread it's Suria Sabah!!
A new mall so there's nothing much.
Got home and went swimming with JoLynn while ShiIan played with his aeroplane and Audrey sat by the pool side reading.

Dinner with Ivan at Welcome again!!
I texted Ivan on the day we landed but apparently he changed his number :breeze:
Supper at Fuh Yuen!!!!

That night, we slept at 0300 except for Aunt Tong who watched TakGu until 0500!
LOL!!

The next day we were planning to go watch a movie after breakfast at Lintas but there's no good movie in Suria Sabah and the road to OneBorneo is sooo jammed.
So we end up building sand castle in Tanjung Aru again. Haha.

Behold!!
Okay lah, not so nice. But marks for effort okay!!! XD
Grilled fish and bak kut teh for dinner with Ivan again Tonight, Fuh Yuen closed so we went for tong sui in Lintas.

The next day, it's time to fly back.

That's the first time seeing an AirAsia plane that is not red in colour.

JoLynn cried when we go, which breaks my heart.
I wished I could stay longer too, dear =(

ShiIan still couldn't stop talking about aeroplanes from the first day we got there. LOL.
S-E-R-I-O-U-S-L-Y.
I'm glad he like the British Airways plane model I got for him though.
It followed him everywhere, until AuntTong brought home another two MAS plane models for him. Haha.
He has a super collection of plane models and pitcher plants (yes, he is still into them).

On the way home, I nearly throw up on the plane thanks to the extreme turbulence most of the time.
And the symphony of babies crying in the plane. They have to cry together, I don't know why, with a sudden scream for starters.
And I find it difficult to breathe.
Hmm, could it be because it is AirAsia?
Anyway, I dislike flying. End.

We landed at LCCT and had again for lunch before we went home.

*INHALES*
Finally finish blogging. Haha!
